On Thursday Donald Trump’s henchwoman, Alison Kelly informed the CDC that he doesn’t want the word “transgender” along with six other innocuous utterances to appear in the 2018 budget request.
Washington Post reported Friday that Policy analysts at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta were told of the list of forbidden words at a meeting Thursday with senior CDC officials who oversee the budget, according to an analyst who took part in the 90-minute briefing. The forbidden words are “vulnerable,” “entitlement,” “diversity,” “transgender,” “fetus,” “evidence-based” and “science-based.”
Removing protections for trans students, a proposed trans military ban, and now prohibiting the CDC from using the word “transgender.” We see this for what it is, a dangerous pattern, and a hateful targeted erasure of trans people- and as Americans we will not stand for it. https://t.co/HOxxX8QGNL

The reaction of people in the meeting was “incredulous,” the analyst said. “It was very much, ‘Are you serious? Are you kidding?’ ”
“In my experience, we’ve never had any pushback from an ideological standpoint,” the analyst said.

Kelly couldn’t give clarification as to whom issued the policy when asked by those attending the meeting.
Kelly gave examples of phrases they could substitute for some of the words but unsurprisingly, didn’t offer an alternate phrase for Transgender.
According to the CDC website which hasn’t yet been censored, the vast majority of gender diverse who have tested positive are transgender women of color who live in the southern United States.
The timing of the censorship demand can be attributed to the upcoming budget request which is due in Congress early next year.
The CDC website describes what they are doing to combat HIV/AIDs in the transgender community.
- “Awarded $11 million per year for 5 years, beginning in 2011, to community-based organizations (CBOs) to provide HIV testing to young gay and bisexual men and young transgender people of color. A new funding opportunity focusing on this population will begin in 2017 and continue for 5 years, depending on the availability of funds.”
The CDC was previously tasked with studying and combating infectious diseases of all Americans will no longer include transgender people in its research or presumably risk losing funding.
POS45 and the Pense Christofacist cabal want you dead. They are facilitating your demise à la Uganda by removing LGBT people from studies and treatment of HIV/AIDs.
If you can think of a better reason to vote for Democrats in the midterm elections please tell us.
POS45’s nomination for secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar has made a fortune from price gouging Insulin production.
