Transgender woman Murdered in Richmond

Transgender woman Chae’Meshia Simms was found dead on November 23, 2020, at 5:42 a.m. in Richmond Virginia. Police found ChaeChae as she was known to friends in a car that had crashed into a garage on the 800 block of Cheatwood Avenue.

Neighbors told police they heard four gunshots. Simms’ body had several gunshot wounds.

Simms’ body was taken to the Medical Examiner who will determine the cause and manner of death.
