Transgender woman Luana Alves murdered in Rio de Janeiro

Luana Alves was shot in Piabeta, Magé, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, around 9:30 pm on Saturday, April 12, 2020, according to Trans Violence News (TVN).

ndm online reported that the victim was shot several times and died at the scene.

Little is known of the victim or the circumstances that led to her murder. However, we do know that transphobia is the evil which causes people to act violently against trans people.
