Transgender woman Milena Massafera was stabbed to death on Saturday night April, 10. She was found by police in a kitnet located on Rua Coronel Luíz da Cunha in Vila Tibério in the west of Ribeirão Preto, Brazil
The officers told reporters from X Tudo Ribeirão that the victim’s friends called her family to say that Milena wasn’t answering her phone and that the apartment was locked with the television on.
Her family went there, and with the help of a private locksmith managed to gain access to the property and found her bloody body lying in the middle of the apartment.
Police reported that Milena Massafera was stabbed multiple times in the neck, chest, legs, and back.
The president of the Arco Íris NGO in Ribeirão Preto, Fábio de Jesus, is calling for a broad investigation by the Civil Police in the deaths of the two transgender women, as he believes that there is a serial killer on the lose.
The first, known as Milena Massafera, was found last Friday, in a house in Parque Avelino, in the north of the city, with several marks of violence and the other, Márcia Marcita, was located last night, Saturday, in a kitchenette in Vila Tibério, West region, with stab wounds all over her body.
“Both women were killed with great violence. Marks all over the body, including the feet, which indicates a hate crime designed to murder. As an Lgbt person, I also fear for my life. This cannot continue,” said Fábio de Jesus.
