The body of an unidentified trans woman was found in the early afternoon of Thursday (11), in the neighborhood of Our Lady of Lourdes in Aparecida de Goiânia, capital’s metropolitan area. According to Police (PM), the victim had a cut mark of a knife in the neck.
Sergeant Alexandre Basualdo said that people going through the place spotted the body and told police. “The body was already decomposing, must have been there for at least a couple of days,” he said. The Technical and Scientific Police (Brazilian CSU) were in place to collect evidence.
A colleague of the victim, who declined to be identified, was at the scene and recognized the body. “She [the victim] said she had no place to stay and came here to live for about a week ago, but always spent a lot of time on the street sometimes not sleeping home. A friend of mine said she saw two young men taking her to the region [where she was found] in the early hours of Thursday and we have not seen her since, “she said.
Still according to the colleague, the victim was apparently “tormented” in recent days. “Whenever we were talking, she spoke little or nothing. I was even worried because she was a cocaine user and drank a lot. It seems that a man was threatening her to death, but i don’t know what happened, “she said.
The body has been removed and taken to the Medical Legal Institute (IML). The city’s Homicide Investigation Group (GIH) are investigating the case, but still have no clues as to what may have happened or who may have been the perpetrator.
