Trans man Shot in Lynchburg Virginia

Trans man Novaa RU Watson, was shot and killed at a Lynchburg Family Dollar Monday night. The 23-year-old resident of Lynchburg was found by police at 6 pm June 14 while responding to a malicious wounding report at the Family Dollar at 2029 Fort Avenue.

Officers located one man with a gunshot wound who was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital and later succumbed to his injuries, according to Lynchburg police.

Police say they do not have evidence to believe it was a hate crime.
