Transgender woman Tracy Single was found off of Katy Freeway on July 30, 2019, by Houston Police. The HPD said only that a woman was found deceased and that “her death didn’t appear to be natural”.

About a week later, according to Monica Roberts at TransGriot, HPD LGBT liaisons informed the local community that the woman who was found along I-10 back on July 30 was actually trans and was murdered.

“Dee Dee Watters subsequently organized an August 11 town hall meeting that led to us finally IDing Tracy so we can now officially #SayHerName.”

Tracy Single is the 4th trans person to die in Texas since the 2018 TDOR, the 27th person on American soil and the  255th worldwide according to tdor.translivesmatter.info

    I hope they find the SOB who did this. Too many of these murderers get away with it. At 22 years old she had barely a chance to explored herself, she had only begun her journey in life. She deserved to enjoy far more of her life. We all do.
