Three transgender women were reportedly raped last night by twelve people in Pakistan’s northern frontier. Trans Action Pakistan, a national organization advocating for transgender rights reported this morning. While this group has made some substantial progress this past year the atrocities continue seemingly unabated. And while it may seem that the violence has increased it is equally likely that the reporting on these attacks has become more frequent.

Historically the KB Police have been reminiscent in their duties until prodded by media and the subsequent outcry.
“Strawberry, Mena and Sheerry were gang raped in the jurisdiction of Omarzai Police Station by 12 people.”
“The police said they have arrested the persons but they are nowhere in the police lockup. The police are behaving strangely and have made us sit in the police station for hours without a reason. Also, police have refused to conduct DNA tests. This so shameful. The DPO Nowshera said he has no info of incident.”
This is a breaking story. Updates to follow.
