Lynette Muse was arrested Friday and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the slaying of transgender woman Shakie Peters the Advocate reported. No motive has been released by The St. Helena Sheriff’s Office.
Shakie Peters, 32, was found off Opal Bennett Road near Amite, Louisiana last month. She is one of two transgender women killed in the East Baton Rouge area in July reports the Advocate.
Authorities said more arrests are pending.
