Stiles Zuschlag had attended Tri-City Christian Academy since kindergarten said he felt brutalized by the administration after they told him to leave because of his transgender status.

The Christian school gave the Valedictorian a choice that too often ends in suicide, that of seeking religious based gender conversion and an end to HRT or rejection from the family he loved and trusted since birth.

“It felt brutal to me,” Zuschlag told WCSH channel 6. “I can’t believe I grew up under you. I looked up to you and now you’re pushing me away like a problem. Like I’m a disease.”

But Stiles Zuschlag never lost his faith and thrived in his new school. So much so he was pronounced homecoming King Friday night an announcement he said felt “Surreal”.

The Boston Globe reports that the announcement of Stiles Zuschlag as homecoming king was made Friday evening at halftime of Noble High School’s homecoming football game.
