South Dakota House Fails To Override Gov. Noem’s Veto

South Dakota’s transgender athletes will be allowed to compete in their authentic gender for at least one more year, bar a special session.

The House couldn’t decide on procedures or whether Noems Style and Form veto was legal. The House rejected Noem’s style and form veto Monday morning with 67 members voting against it. But when it came back on the house floor republicans failed to get the 3/4 majority required for a full veto.

Imagine their chagrin when they learned It turns out it was all for naught as the Senate had already given up and adjourned for the session.
