“I’ve never met a transgender person that I’m aware of” Gov. Dennis Daugaard candidly admitted during a news conference Thursday. Daugaard said although he remains puzzled about transgender issues he doesn’t see that as an obstacle in his decision-making process. He said that based on what he has heard, it sounds like a good bill for maintaining student privacy, saying he’ll look at “archived information” for the basis of his decision.
