The struggle for transgender people’s right to access public accommodations is being waged in every country on every continent. They’re convenient misconceptions gay people and mainstream media have about the state of Thailand’s trans equality.

Thailand is leading the way, but all is not just or fair.

Public accommodations are often willingly sacrificed by gay people when crafting “LGBT” ordinances and laws in the United States. The right to safe access to public accommodations isn’t unique nor are the lies people spread in so many languages trying to keep us marginalized.
