Rochester radio hosts Kimberly and Beck are back on the airwaves after being fired by 98.9 The Buzz (WBZA) in May. The transphobic segment in which they attacked Rochester’s new trans inclusive insurance ended with them willfully misgendering a transgender caller who tried to reason with them.
The enraged the LGBT community started a petition which quickly garnered 4,500 signatures and combined with phone calls and the social media response left no doubt as to our reaction. The next morning 98.9 announced the two were suspended and fired them the following day.
