Putting the spotlight on Transgender teen Dashad Sage Smith’s disappearance

Erik McFadden was last seen two years ago, shortly after meeting with transgender teen Dashad Sage Smith. The police have been frustrated in their search despite spending $100,000 on the it. NBC29 reporting that the case is being moved to the Cold Case division but in an attempt to reassure friends and family Charlottesville police opened their files.

Newly release court records show the last call received by Smith was made from a number belonging to McFadden.

Charlottesville police are looking for any information about where either Dashad Smith is or the person of interest in this case. They say Erik McFadden may have traveled out west or is in the New York area. If you can help police, call Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000. A $20,000 reward is being offered in the case.
