NYC Transgender woman

Police say the man in the video committed a hate crime when he shoved a NYC transgender woman onto the subway tracks Monday. The attack which happened at the Bleaker Street station about 9am horrified passengers, but one remained aware enough to rescue her before the next train roared through.

The man who witness said was acting erratically prior to the attack, dug a water bottle out of a trash can then ran to the woman throwing it at her while demanding ‘what she was looking at’. He then shoved her onto the tracks and ran off.

Update. The New York Daily News is reporting that police have arrested homeless x-con Rolan Reid and charged him with the crime. Reid has a history of acting erratically and has 28 previous arrests, many for violent acts.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
