No arrests yet in North Dallas Transgender shooting

Detectives are searching for the driver of this pickup truck who they say shot and wounded a transgender Latina woman Friday. According to reports the driver yelled transphobic slurs and began firing about 11 p.m. Friday in the 11000 block of Dennis Road, north of Royal Lane. The victim was shot numerous times wounding her in her chest and arms.

Police weren’t able to interview the victim until Monday according to the Dallas News due to her wounds when she gave detectives a description of the gunman.

There has been a dramatic increase in violent acts either threatened or perpetrated against Dallas transwoman in recent weeks up to and including two murders and an apparentĀ kidnapping/disappearance from the DFW Airport.

The project counts all transgender wrongful deaths which happen in the USA. This includes people of different nationalities and suicides. There have been 31 deaths since the 2018 TDoR in the USA, and 271 worldwide.
