Muhlaysia Booker spoke publicly for the first time since being assaulted

Transgender woman Muhlaysia Booker spoke publicly for the first time Saturday following the brutal assault in Oak Cliff on April 13th. In an emotional thank you, Booker, expressed gratitude for those who cared during her time of need.

“This time it was me. The next time could be someone else close to you,” Booker said

Edward Thomas, 29, has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

He remains in the Dallas County jail on a $75,000 bond.
