Jazz Jennings to star in a new TLC reality show “All That Jazz”

TLC has announced a new show “All That Jazz” starring 14-year-old Jazz Jennings and her family. The reality show will explore how a trans teen on puberty blocking medication navigates sleep over’s, dating, and other social activities. The first 11 episodes dubbed “The New Face of Transgender Youth” will première this summer according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“Only TLC can tell this family’s story in way that celebrates and demystifies difference in an effort to help create a world without prejudice,” insisted Marjorie Kaplan, Group President, TLC & Animal Planet.

Jazz Jennings is also a transgender teen at risk.

There is a bill working its was through the Florida house which would criminalize Jazz Jennings use of public restrooms.

Miami Rep. Frank Artiles bill HB 583 would force Jazz to use the men’s room has passed out of committee. Since then an accompanying bill has been submitted to the Florida Senate.
