Meet transgender teen Ian AIexander from Netflix The OA
I watched the first few episodes of “The OA” without knowing that the character “Buck” was played by trans man Ian AIexander. In fact, I hadn’t planned on watching more of the OA at all, it seemed too dark and the scenes lacked cohesiveness.
Then I saw episode 3 and I was hooked. The series catch-phrase ‘trust the unknown’ is intriguing. How can one trust something that they do not know about? And then I found out Ian AIexander is possibly the first Asian transgender youth to land a recurring role in a mainstream series. So now I too am diving in. Feet first.
