After a long pregnant reality show style pause, Caitlyn Jenner tweeted announcing the end of I am Cait today. Quite a few media outlets jumped the gun announcing the demise of I am Cait weeks ago, but Planetrans out of respect waited for Jenner to say it. The highly cis acclaimed and cited show tried to go where trans people seldom venture. Caitlyn failed twice. One, she distanced herself from the vast majority of politically aware trans people with her unabashed right wing views. I cringed many times wondering if cis people thought she was speaking for me.
Secondly, her wealth made connecting personally impossible. Sheesh, she lives on a California mountain top in a mansion. But those heights can be lonesome too, so no ill will please.

Many of us, myself included aren’t fans of the Kardashian type drama which left very little room for audience growth.
“We are incredibly proud of the two seasons of I Am Cait, a groundbreaking docuseries that sparked an important and unprecedented global conversation about transgender people, their struggles and triumphs,”E! Entertainment said in a statement Tuesday. “Caitlyn and E! have mutually decided not to move forward with another season at this time. She will always remain a part of the E! family, and we look forward to continue following her journey as she appears on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
But still, she does have a fan base of hundreds of thousands of admirers who will mourn this ending and cheer her new beginnings. I won’t rejoice in any transgender person’s dreams ending and wish Caitlyn Jenner all the best. I’m sure we haven’t heard the last of her especially if heavens forbid tRUMP gets elected.
After 2 amazing seasons of @IAmCait, it's time for the next adventure. Thank you E! & thank you to the best girlfriends I could ask for!
