Equity MP leads Glasgow Pride Parade carrying trans flag
The Scottish Minister for Equalities Christina McKelvie carried the trans flag leading the Glasgow Pride Parade Saturday. But McKelvie, was only partially correct when said last June at the PinkNews Edinburgh Summer Reception that Scotland has emerged as a beacon of hope for many countries in Europe who are facing dark times.
It was also June when the entire Edinburgh University’s entire LGBT Network Committee resigned in response to TERF Julie Bindel being given space to voice her toxic anti-transgender views. This was in sharp contrast to her de-platforming by the University of Manchester in 2013 due to her insistence that transgender lives are debatable.
None the less, Scotland is a beacon of hope for the worlds LGBT people, like those in the United States, are under nonstop attack from their own governments.
