DOJ gives NC Gov McCrory until Monday to stop enforcement of HB2

The Department of Justice has just sent a letter to the North Carolina government warning them that if they don’t stop enforcement of HB2 by Monday they will be sued.

Governor Pat McCrory called the DOJ letter ‘governmental overreach’ while defending his draconian statewide law.
At the chamber of commerce meeting last night McCrory responded once again sublimely inviting other city’s and states to enact discrimination against transgender people. McCrory hoped other governments passage of laws like NC’s would overwhelm the Federal Govt and be a unifying statement justifying his awful hatred of North Carolina’s transgender people.

How’s that worked out for you McCrory?

All of the cities who have followed McCrory’s lead have either rescinded that laws as they did in Oxford Al Wednesday or flatly rejected the laws, author, down voting the proposed ordinance at the first hearing as they did Tuesday in Rockwall Texas.

Hey, Governor Pat McCrory now’s the time for a ‘special session’ and it need not be on the QT.
