Dan Patrick’s Anti-Transgender Campaign: An Act of Terror

A jihadist Act of Terror

Dan Patrick

Call TX Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick’s vendetta against transgender people a jihad, for that is what it is.

Today we awoke to the tragic news that we lost 50 LGBT brothers and sisters, murdered at the Orlando gay bar Pulse, to a man who moments before pledged allegiance to ISIS.

A few hours later Dan Patrick was lambasted for an apparently scheduled religious tweet. The Houston Chronicle reported that at precisely 7 a.m. Sunday Dan Patrick tweeted a photo with the words of Galatians 6:7. The verse reads, “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”

“Tweeted as new breaks of mass casualties at a gay nightclub. Vile,” one Twitter user said. “Have you no shame?”

The toxic overtures of the Tweet were refuted by his office and was removed shortly thereafter, but without any mention that the victims were Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and TRANSGENDER people.
Patrick’s adviser Allen Blakemore issued a statement explaining that the tweet was an unfortunate coincidence.

“Lt. Governor Patrick and every Texas is stunned and saddened by the outrageous act of domestic terrorism that has occurred in Orlando,” Blakemore said. “… Regarding this morning’s scripture posting on social media, be assured that the post was not done in response to last night’s tragedy. The post was designed and scheduled last Thursday.”
A Bible verse is tweeted from Patrick’s account every Sunday at 7 a.m.

A transgender person is murdered every day worldwide but this doesn’t stop Dan Patrick from his vile attacks on my transgender people. He repeatedly lies, warning mothers that their children are at risk from us in public spaces.

Why doesn’t Patrick’s adviser issue like statements and retractions of tweets when one of us is murdered on a Saturday night? In the first five months of 2016, murders of 10 transgender people have been reported. Almost all of the victims were people of color, and the vast majority were black transgender individuals. – The Advocate

Dan Patrick makes no bones about the fact that we are less than one percent of the population. One murdered transgender person is easier and more politically expedient to overlook than the 50 LGBT people slaughtered in Orlando today. Dan Patrick has a website and a Party Plank dedicated solely to continuing the disenfranchisement, illiteracy and unemployment of transgender people.

Dan Patrick is a very smart man. He doesn’t just not care, it is safe to assume that he celebrates the irrefutable proof that his vendetta irreparably harms and ultimately kill us.

As only a jihadist would do.

  1. I find it hard to believe that a human being could sink to low depth of perversion as you and they do. God will not have mercy on your rebellious soul…

  2. Well said Kelli. Its obvious to me that, like so many of the other hate filled cronies in his circles like James Dobson for example, who was in the news for saying he thinks transgender people should be gunned down, they are nothing more than whitewashed fences. They are not christians though. Churchians would be a better term. In light of the Orlando massacre, they should really reconsider what their hate looks like and translates to before casting theyre judgemental stones at us. Im more than sure they have ample room in theyre black hearts for repentence.
