Senate Candidate Beto O’Rourke received thunderous applause for his answer poised by a trans youth during the packed Dallas town hall held on March 29th.
Beto answered by specifically condemning SB6, one of many transgender bathroom bills introduced in 2017 by Republican Texas extremists targeting the most vulnerable, transgender children.
As a federal legislator currently serving El Paso, Beto also took the opportunity to condemn Ted Cruz for his support of trump nominated judgeship for Jeff Matee who condemned transgender children as ‘satans plan’.
When elected to the Senate Beto O’Rourke will replace Ted Cruz.
Beto then tweeted his answer “I want you to be in our state, Max and I will Fight For You” on March 31st, the Transgender Day of Visibility TDOV.
Max, who introduced himself as a trans boy and bisexual thanked Beto for addressing issues such as immigration and veteran affairs but wanted to know what he would do to protect the LGBT community.
