A transgender woman identified by the Baltimore Transgender Alliance as ‘Tydi’ was found with a gunshot wound on the 2400 block of Guilford Avenue about 4:15 a.m. on Monday 26th, 2018. Tydie was taken to the hospital where she died from the injuries.

Police spokesman T.J. Smith in the video below said that there were reports of a loud argument preceding the shots and that a dark-colored car was seen speeding from the scene.

Police will release more information to the public after her next of kin are notified.

The Baltimore Transgender Alliance will be holding a Community vigil for Tydie on Friday, November 30 at 7 PM, at the GLCCB room 3.
