Anti-Mask Legislator Mocks Dr. Rachel Levine, PA Physician General
Rep. Russ Diamond's word-for-word parody of Dr. Rachel Levine’s call for acceptance swapped out her references to “LGBTQ” with “unmasked.”
The day after Dr. Rachel Levine responded to transphobic harassment in an appeal for acceptance an anti-Mask, anti-vaxxer Legislator equated people who refused to wear masks to the discrimination LGBT people endure.
“I will not be tested, I will not be traced, and I will not be vaccinated as a prerequisite for any activity.” – Rep. Russ Diamond
mcall.com reports that Lebanon County Rep. Russ Diamond, who has boasted on social media of shopping without a mask, on Wednesday released a nearly word-for-word parody of Dr. Rachel Levine’s call for tolerance and acceptance of LGBTQ people, swapping out her references to “LGBTQ” with “unmasked.”

The comparison drew an immediate response from the transgender community and a call to censure Diamond from Gov.Tom Wolf.
This is straight from the text dr. Lavine read yesterday during the daily covid briefing to address the transphobia that’s been happening across the state since she’s been giving updates. It’s sick. He replaced “LGBTQ” and “trans” with “unmasked.” I watched her speech yesterday.

Rep. Diamond’s press release is nothing more than a thinly veiled attack on the LGBTQ community and Dr. Rachel Levine, a nationally respected leader in public health whose bravery and resolve in the face of constant attacks is laudable.
