Ahmed Alaa wasn’t frightened flying the Pride flag he was doing for the LGBT community.

in 2017 Ahmed Alaa was arrested and jailed in Cario, Egypt for flying the rainbow flag at a Mashrou’ Leila concert, a popular Lebanese alternative rock band whose lead singer is openly gay. At least 54 others were subsequently arrested in retribution during the state-sponsored anti-LGBT campaign according to the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights (EIPR)

While homosexuality is not explicitly prohibited by the terms of Egyptian law, the arrested were detained on charges of inciting debauchery, sexual deviancy and violating public morals.
