Actor Elliot Page Comes Out as Trans on Instagram

Elliot Page
Elliot Page, the Oscar-nominated star of “Juno” and “The Umbrella Academy,” made public his authentic gender on Instagram today. Elliot announced his pronouns as he/Him They/Them and said that while his joy is real it is also fragile.
He said that he is aware of the invasiveness of public transition and hate and violence trans people face on a daily basis.
Elliot was been one of our most prolific allies. He fearlesslycalled out TERF Martina Navratilova in 2019 for her views on transgender athletes.
Martina had said: “A man can decide to be female, take hormones if required by whatever sporting organization is concerned, win everything in sight and perhaps earn a small fortune, and then reverse his decision and go back to making babies.”
And responding to those comments, Elliot slammed the sporting star for letting history repeat itself, as he branded Martina’s words as “demonizing and dehumanizing.”
Elliot said: “It’s not like people didn’t use the same arguments for lesbian, gay, and bisexual people, but people are also using that rhetoric to make trans people seem like predators. It’s demonizing and dehumanizing. It’s deplorable.
“In regards to those conversations in the UK and the treatment and attack on trans rights in the US, it’s utterly cruel.”
You have always been our beloved SJW, Elliot, welcome to our road less traveled.
