Gwynevere River Song, a non-binary identifying transgender person was allegedly shot and killed by their father while at home in Midlothian Texas Saturday night. The original news report deadnames them but was edited to include their authentic name.

Gwynevere River Song is now the 17th transgender person murdered  this year which is setting new records for violence committed against US LGBT people.

Gwynevere River Song’s last tweets the day of their murder included this Facebook post in which they worried about the fascists approaching Charlottesville

And this one in which they shared a Facebook post about 2017 only being half over and having the most murders of LGBT people:

Their mother has set up a memorial facebook page and will be holding a memorial for Gwynevere River Song Monday. Their mother has invited the transgender community to attend according to Dallas advocate  Nell Gaither who wrote: “..we have word from Gwynevere’s mother that the community is very welcome to attend the memorial on August 21.”

The memorial is August 21 at 2pm, at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home, at 1826 US-287 Business, Waxahachie, TX 75165   we have word from Gwynevere’s mother that the community is very welcome to attend the memorial on August 21.

    “Her”?…I only ask because I’d hate for this soul to be misgengered even after they’ve passed.
    The Advocate article mentioned they used “they/them” pronouns
    And the begining of this article starts out by using them..

      As someone who knew Gwyn personally, she used she/her and they/them.

    My apologies. I did use female pronouns. Their Facebook page did specify they/them. Please correct me when I make mistake like that. It is appreciated.

      she primarily used she/her pronouns, as far as i’m aware, but they/them were acceptable to her as well

    I went to Gwynevere’s memorial service today. It was very touching, Made me appreciate my kitty, my home, and even my job even more. It’s all so unique and the living beings are irreplaceable.
